We value connection to our peers and community, wisdom from spiritual traditions and from science, education and training that support personal and professional growth, healing as a relationally-grounded process, and commitment to diversity, authenticity, and innovation. We integrate spiritual and theological reflection with the insights of other disciplines to seek deep understanding of human experience, human suffering, and human transformation. We invite all healing practitioners – pastoral counselors, psychotherapists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, ministers, coaches, physicians, nurses, public health workers, students in training in these professions, and others – to join us in this good work.
NOTE: When you become a member a member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC), you also join our region or the geographical region where you reside. The Southeast Region is the area of the United States that includes Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
