Online Case Conferences

In each 55 minute session, two participants will present cases (that have been emailed to the group beforehand), giving particular attention to theological themes and considerations. 25 minutes will be allotted for discussion of each case. Group members will provide consultation about the cases with emphasis upon their creative ways of theological reflection.

Therapists will connect online via Zoom software that allows real-time, face-to-face interaction. Zoom is a free software that can be downloaded at www.zoom.us

CE: 5 hours (1 hr/session attended) NBCC Approved

Led by Dr. Robert Cooke, this experience will

1. Strengthen participants’ skills in case formulation and presentation by providing the opportunity to discuss cases from a theological point of view in a group setting;

2. Broaden counselors’ appreciation for other points of view by connecting them online with a diverse community and engaging in dialogue with a variety of ethnic, socio-economic, and religious perspectives that may not be available in their home towns.

3. Widen therapists’ understanding of theological reflection to include activities in addition to intellectual dialogue, such as creating art, dancing, writing poetry/essays, and making music.
